Essiac
Uses
Essiac has many uses,
especially as a cleanser and detoxifier of the first order. We highly
recommend that you use one bottle each quarter, consuming an ounce a day
during the two week period before the equinox or solstice, transitional
times when the body is most vulnerable to illness and stress. That's
usually all that's necessary for a healthy person to do. If disease has
already set in, 1/2 ounce a day every day of the year.
Additionally, there are reported cases where Essiac has reversed thyroid
conditions, diabetes, eliminated skin conditions, and caused hemoglobin
and white cell counts to return to normal. Cysts, fibroid tumors,
chronic mastitis, and ulcers have responded to treatment with Essiac.
AIDS and HIV blood counts have improved, psoriasis and shingles have
cleared up, and arthritic patients have noted reduced joint pain and
greater joint flexibility. Reports include a calming effect, increases
in energy level, stabilization of sleeping patterns, clearing of chronic
infections, heightened mental clarity, greatly improved digestion and
bowel movements, relief from depression, fear and distress, and in many
cases greatly reduced levels of intractable, chronic pain, especially
for cancer patients. These are possible side effects of Essiac.
Here is a list of therapeutic actions which, according to Sheila Snow,
have been reported by Rene Caisse and others to be found in Essiac, in
its component herbs individually, or observed to at least occur
alongside consumption of Essiac.
The following are Quotes
from Shelia Snows book.
Prevents build-up of excess fatty deposits in artery walls, heart,
kidney tubules, and liver
Regulates cholesterol levels by transforming sugar and fat to energy
Halts diarrhea, checks internal hemorrhaging and overcomes constipation
counteracts the effects of aluminum, lead, and mercury poisoning
Strengthens and tightens muscles, organs, and tissue
Makes bones, joints, ligaments, lungs and membranes strong and flexible,
more durable,
and less vulnerable to stress
Promotes the absorption of fluids in the tissues
Removes toxic accumulation in fat, lymph, bone marrow, bladder and
alimentary canal
Absorbs toxins in the bowel, then eliminates them
Clears respiratory channels by dissolving and expelling mucus
Relieves the liver of its burden of detoxification by converting fatty
toxins into water soluble substances
that can then be easily eliminated
through the kidneys
Assists the liver in producing lecithin which forms part of the myelin
sheath surrounding the nerve tissue
Reduces, perhaps eliminates heavy metals deposits in the tissues,
especially those surrounding the
joints, to relieve inflammation and
stiffness
Improves the functions of the pancreas by increasing the effectiveness
of insulin
Cleanses the blood
Increases red cell production and keeps all these cells from rupturing
Increases the body's ability to utilize oxygen by raising the oxygen
level in the tissue cells
Maintains the balance between potassium and sodium within the body
Renders calcium and potassium oxalate soluble in the urine. Regulate the
amount of oxalic acid
delivered to the kidneys, thus reducing risk of
stone formation in the gall bladder, kidneys, or urinary tract
Protects the brain from circulating toxins
Relieves pain, increases appetite and provides more energy and a sense
of well-being
Accelerates wound healing
Increases the production of lymphocytes and T-cells
Inhibits and possibly destroys benign growths and tumors
Protects cells from free-radical damage, including damage from radiation
and x-rays |
